What GOOD Can You Do With $25?

PAL Stratford offers the security of HOME for arts professionals into senior and retirement years.

Being a PAL Stratford Member is one way to support arts professionals in their most vulnerable years when challenges in health and financial security can change. PAL Stratford has been created and is maintained by the community of arts professionals and arts supporters.

The pandemic has highlighted the precarious nature of an artist’s life and career in the gig economy, especially in the entertainment business. Despite best efforts, building a secure base for older years is harder than ever. In senior years, failing health, losing the ability to manage and pay for an independent home, creates risk. Housing insecurity, lack of resources to access supportive help become a threat to health and wellbeing. Those who have worked in the arts and even those with long careers can be one illness away from being able to stay in their own homes.

What do we lose when artists can’t afford to live in our community? Or there are no sustainable jobs for artists? We lose the landscape that offers a culturally rich community. We lose diversity. We lose the heart and soul of what makes Stratford special.

You can support in many ways: by donating, volunteering, and supporting PAL events.

But the simplest form of support is Membership. As we envision the growth of expanding services and affordable housing, our membership is evidence that the community is behind PAL.. and will be there moving forward every step of the way.

All regular members receive a charitable receipt.

As a member, you are automatically a member of PAL Canada, and its Canada wide-programming, connecting with the arts communities from Halifax to Vancouver.

PAL Stratford also offers access to meeting spaces, early access to events, workshops, and gatherings.

Thank you for being a PAL.
