PAL is pleased to host a book launch and signing for Silvia Remkins, a resident of PAL and author of An Ayahuasca Odyssey: My Seven-Year Journey with Grandmother to Heal Depression.
Silvia will read from her recently released memoir about healing decades of depression with ayahuasca, a psychotropic medicine sacred to the Indigenous peoples of the Amazon. Silvia’s book tells the story of how she was repeatedly “called” by Grandmother, the guiding spirit of ayahuasca, to the rainforests of Peru to participate in ceremonies to heal spiritual malaise. After seven years and thirteen challenging ceremonies, Silvia finally had her demons purged.
