Lucy Peacock and Loreena McKennitt head PAL fundraiser

September 24, 2012… On Monday evening, October 15, PAL Stratford presents its seventh annual Expect the Extraordinary fundraising event. The event will be held at the Avon Theatre, 99 Downie Street, Stratford, and will feature a star studded cast and a silent auction.

Lucy Peacock will host an evening of music, songs, stories, laughter and love, entitled “Heart and Home: An evening with Lucy Peacock and PALs in the living room.” This presentation is inspired by her sold-out summer cabaret series at the Stratford Festival, “Late Night with Lucy.”

Joining Lucy will be Loreena McKennitt, Guitarist Gregory Hoskins and The Festival Youth Choir from St. Marys. Other actors and performers will include Troy Adams, Sean Arbuckle, Anna Atkinson, Barbara Barsky, Ben Carlson, Brent Carver, Dan Chameroy, Laura Condlin, Glen Dias, Ted Dykstra, Graham Hargrove, Brad Hodder, David Keeley, Aaron Krohn, Claire Lautier, Roy Lewis, Nora McLellan, George Meanwell, Marek Norman, Travis Seetoo, Shawnathon, Abigail Winter-Culliford, and Geraint Wyn Davies.

All these talented artists are contributing their time and talent to aid PAL Stratford’s fundraising efforts. A PAL lodge has been purchased at 101 Brunswick Street and renovations are under way.

Ticket prices are $50, $35, and $20 and are available from the Stratford Shakespeare Festival’s Box Office: 519-273-1600; 1-800-567-1600, or directly from a PAL Board Member.

The Silent Auction will commence at 6:30 p.m. in the lobby of the Avon Theatre.

PAL Stratford is a voluntary organization dedicated to the provision of affordable housing and other services to local members and associates of Canada’s professional and performing arts community who are in need of assistance by reason of low income, age or disability.

PAL Stratford was established as a non-profit organization in 2002 and in 2006 was registered as a Charitable Organization. It is one of six Chapters of the national PAL Canada Foundation.
